JetBackup takes incremental backups on cPanel and DirectAdmin servers and writes them to local disk, FTP or S3-compatible storage. The license is bound to the IP of the server that runs the backup jobs.
Traditional panel backups have two well-known problems: they copy the whole account every run, which burns disk and time, and restores almost always have to go through an administrator. Which server is the license tied to — the one being backed up or the storage?

What happens to the license if I rebuild the server or the IP changes?
You replace the IP on the license in the panel. The new address works immediately, the old one stops immediately, and nothing has to be repurchased or requested from support. The same change is available over the API, so you can put it inside your own build script.
Can customers restore their own backups?
Yes — that is exactly what the panel integration is for. An account owner can restore at file, database or mailbox level from their own interface, and the administrator decides which of those rights are enabled, or turns them all off.
If I stop renewing, what happens to the backups already stored?
A monthly license runs to the end of the period you paid for, auto-renewal can be switched off at any time, and there is no contract or cancellation fee. The backup files sit in your own storage; the license ending does not touch them. Restores, though, are done through the software's own interface, so if you are cancelling or migrating, finish the restores you need before the period ends.
