Virtualizor is the control panel that turns a physical server into a platform for virtual machines. It works with KVM, LXC and OpenVZ, installs guest operating systems from templates, enforces CPU, RAM, disk and bandwidth limits, and hands out addresses from your IP pool. Administrators see every node in a single interface. Licensing is per server: the master and every node under it need one of their own, so plan growth in licenses as well as hardware. Check the machine before you install. KVM needs the processor's virtualization extensions (Intel VT-x or AMD-V) enabled in the BIOS, and OpenVZ runs its own kernel, which limits the operating system versions it will sit on. The panel also expects a clean server: most failed installs happen on boxes that are already running another control panel. Do master and slave servers each need their own license?
Yes. A license covers one IP address, so you need as many licenses as you run servers, master included. Factor that into the budget when you plan how many nodes to start with.
I reinstalled a node and the IP changed. What now?
You update the license's IP field in the panel, and that is the whole procedure: no ticket, no waiting. It applies instantly, which also means the license drops on the old address at once, so make the change once the new server is up.
Can I hook license creation into my own automation?
Yes. The REST API is open on every account tier and covers issuing, renewing, suspending and changing the IP of a license. Use it from WHMCS or straight from your own provisioning script; every call is recorded with its result, so a run that went wrong is easy to trace afterwards.
What happens if I decide not to renew a monthly license?
It runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and you switch auto-renewal off in the panel. There is no commitment and no cancellation fee, so deciding before the period ends leaves you time to move the virtual machines off that server.
