A backup is only worth what it can actually restore. The licenses in this category are issued against your server's IP address and are usually live within a minute of ordering.
JetBackup runs on cPanel and DirectAdmin servers and works incrementally: after the first full pass it writes only what has changed instead of copying the same files night after night. In practice that means shorter backup windows and far less storage burned on near-identical copies. Destinations can be local disk, another machine over SSH/SFTP or FTP, or S3-compatible object storage — getting the data off the machine it protects is the whole point, because a copy sitting on that server disappears along with it. Retention is set per job, so daily copies can rotate quickly while weekly and monthly ones are kept much longer. Restores go down to a single file, a single database or one mailbox rather than the whole account, and end users can run them from their own hosting panel, so routine restore requests are handled without a support ticket.
Backup nodes are rebuilt and relocated more often than almost anything else in a hosting fleet, so licenses here are tied to an IP address rather than to a key file you have to keep safe. When a node moves, you change the IP on the license yourself in the panel: the new address starts working right away and the old one stops at the same moment, with no ticket in between. Installation on the server is a single command — the script finds the license by IP, and there is nothing to copy or store afterwards. Orders are paid from your prepaid balance with no approval stage; balance topped up with crypto is credited automatically, while bank transfers are confirmed by a person. Teams running many nodes can drive the whole thing through the REST API instead, creating, renewing, suspending and moving licenses from their own provisioning scripts or from WHMCS, and every order, renewal and API call is written to the account log along with its result. If you resell, discounted pricing is applied automatically at order time, the install script is served from your own domain under your own brand, and each sub-reseller can have its own price list and balance limit.
