Softaculous License

The auto-installer that puts more than 450 applications one click away. Your license is registered to the server's IP address and goes live on its own once the order is paid.

Softaculous plugs into your hosting control panel and installs applications - WordPress, Joomla, PrestaShop, Moodle and more than 450 others - without anyone downloading archives, creating databases or fixing directory permissions. The same screen handles updates, backups, clones and staging copies of whatever it installed. For shared hosting companies the return is usually measured in tickets that never get opened: the customer installs their own WordPress. For a sysadmin running a single box, it turns a repetitive job from a few minutes into a few seconds.

What you buy here binds to a server IP address, not to a key file you have to keep somewhere safe. When you move the server or its address changes, you edit the IP yourself in the panel: it applies immediately, the old address stops working at that moment, and you are not waiting on a support reply to get back online. Orders are paid from prepaid balance with no manual approval in between, so a license is normally usable within a minute. Installation on the server is a single command - the script resolves the license from the IP, so there is nothing to copy or store. If you run a fleet, all of the same operations (issuing, renewing, suspending, moving an address) are available over the REST API, which is open on every account tier and can be wired into WHMCS or your own provisioning code.

There is a free edition of Softaculous, but the list of applications it installs is narrow. The full catalogue, along with auto-updates, backups and staging, belongs to the paid edition. Licensing is per server, so two nodes need two licenses. Before ordering, confirm two things: that your control panel is supported (cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, CWP and similar), and which address the server actually presents to the outside world - that is the address the license is written to, and behind NAT it is rarely the machine's internal one. Monthly terms run to the end of the period you paid for and auto-renewal can be switched off in the panel, with no commitment and no cancellation fee. Editions, terms and current prices are listed in the panel's catalogue.

Why buy it here

Bound to the IP

No key file to keep: the license is registered to the server's IP, and you move it by editing that address in the panel.

One-command install

The script you run on the server is authorised by its IP address, so there is nothing to copy, paste or store.

450+ apps, one click

Everything from WordPress to Moodle sits in the control panel, ready for the customer to install without help.

API for provisioning

When a new hosting node comes online, WHMCS or your own panel can place the order over the REST API.

Frequently asked

Why pay when there is a free edition?

The free edition installs only a small part of the list. Most of the applications customers actually ask for, plus auto-updates, backups and staging, sit in the paid edition - which is where the difference shows if you sell shared hosting.

I am migrating the server. Do I have to buy it again?

No. You change the registered IP address in the panel and the same license continues on the new machine. It applies instantly, which also means the old address stops working right away, so make the switch once the new server is ready.

If the term lapses, what happens to the sites already installed?

Anything Softaculous installed is an ordinary installation on the server - it stays where it is and keeps serving. What stops is Softaculous itself: no new installs, no automatic updates, no backups through the panel. Monthly terms stay open until the end of the period you paid for, and stop there if you turned auto-renewal off.

Do you install it on the server for me?

You run the install command yourself; it is one line and the script is authorised by the server's IP. The command is ready as soon as the order goes through, with no key to enter and nothing to wait for on our side.

Pick your Softaculous license from the catalogue - editions, terms and current prices are there, and the install command is waiting in your account the moment the order clears.
